1 Certified person did not have a Philadelphia certificate. Application given to the person in charge.
No person shall operate a food establishment that handles, prepares or serves non-prepackaged potentially hazardous food who does not have present and in the employ of the food establishment at all hours of operation at least one (1) person with a valid Food Establishment Personnel Food Safety Certificate issued by the Department.
8 Dishes and utensils observed in the handwash sink in the kitchen. Items were removed.
8 Observations:
- Soap was not available at the handwash sink behind the bar and kitchen
- No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the restrooms to remind food employees to wash their hands.
**All missing items were provided.**
26 Working containers in kitchen area, used for storing chemicals taken from bulk supplies, were not marked with the common name of the chemical. Bottles were labeled.
26 Chemicals were stored above or on the same shelf with single service articles (plates) in the kitchen area. Plates were relocated.
45 Raw wood pallets were being used for elevation in the walk-in cooler.
45 Observations:
- Non-NSF approved domestic refrigerator/freezer
- Broken faucet handle observed on the handwash sink behind the bar (sink was still operable).
- Unplugged/unused equipment observed: cold prep unit, refrigerators in basement; kitchen was not in use at the time of inspection
46 Food facility lacks sanitizer test strips to monitor sanitizer concentration.
47 Food residue was observed in the basement refrigerator.
51 Restroom doors were not self-closing.
51 Lidded trashcan was not provided in the women's restroom for the proper disposal of sanitary napkins.
53 Missing ceiling tile was observed in the kitchen area.
