34 Thermometer was not located in the warmest part of the refrigerator. Thermometer was relocated.
45 -Inoperable commercial refrigeration unit observed in the kitchen area. -Domestic cabinetry, two non-NSF approved reach-in top/bottom freezers/refrigerators, stove, exhaust hood, coffee grinder and dishwasher are observed in the kitchen area but are not used for the day care.
53 Water stained ceiling areas were observed in the prep area.
54 Mechanical ventilation was not observed in the restrooms (downstairs). Mechanical ventilation was not working properly in the upstairs restrooms.

1 Food Safety Certified Person was not present at the start of inspection. They later arrived. No person shall operate a food establishment that handles, prepares or serves non-prepackaged potentially hazardous food who does not have present and in the employ of the food establishment at all hours of operation at least one (1) person with a valid Food Establishment Personnel Food Safety Certificate issued by the Department.
8 No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the upstairs restrooms to remind food employees to wash their hands. Signs were provided.
20 Children's lunches were held in the refrigerator at 55 degrees F rather than 41 degrees F or below as required. Temperature of the unit was adjusted.

3270.66(a) Cabinets storing chemicals in the prep area and upstairs restrooms were not locked. Chemicals were removed from the restroom cabinets.
3270.75(a) First aid kit was kept in the office instead of the childcare area. A first aid kit was placed in the classroom.
3270.75(c) Gloves were missing from the first aid kit. Gloves were provided.
3270.161(d) Refrigerator storing lunches was not keeping proper temperature. Temperature was adjusted.
